GIVING KIDS A CHANCE AROUND THE WORLD
Ultimately, preparing yourself for a challenge physically is each particpant's personal responsibility. However, don't worry (!) Gulf for Good support your training in the following ways:
1. when you register for a challenge, we will send you a pack of information about how to train for the challenge - suggested frequency of training, activities and intensities
2. we also arrange regular weekend training sessions for registered and potential challengers. These are usually geared towards the activities involved in the upcoming challenge - for example, in the months leading up to a trekking challenge, we would arrange long beach hikes, 60-floor hotel stair climbs, circuit training, etc. These are a great way to gauge your personal fitness, as well as meet the G4G team and your fellow challengers
3. don't worry, you are not alone in having lots of questions about training: there is always someone at the end of the telephone to answer your specific training questions, either one of the G4G office team or the person who will be leading your challenge
4. we can also suggest venues for your training - for example, safe places to cycle to prepare for a cycling challenge or places you can hire kayaks to practice paddling
5. we can also recommend personal fitness trainers for you to consult about your training regime
