Walk in the Wilderness: Wadi Naqab

Wadi Naqab.jpg

Date: 8th February 2019  |  Venue: Wadi Naqab  |  Time : 08:30 - 17:30

This is one of our favourite routes! The first 5km are through the wadi bed and up to a bat cave (with some scrambling you can go inside if you would like). After a short break and snacks we'll start up a managed path with beautiful cliff views to an old settlement where we will have lunch. Be prepared for surreal views!

HIKE DIFFICULTY: Difficult in that we go up 800m. It is a decent workout, but achievable by anyone in good health that wants to do this.

This hike is not suitable for first-timers or those afraid of heights.

Elevation gain: 800m

Distance: approx. 13km

MEETING TIME: We will meet at Wadi Naqab at 8:15am for an 8:30am start. After 30mins bumpy driving, we'll begin hiking at about 9am. For carpooling, we will meet at 6:30am at Emirates NBD/EPPCO station on Al Ain Road. Expect to be back in Dubai by 5:30pm. (Distance from Dubai is 1hr 30mins.)

BOOKING A PLACE: Simply email your RSVP to  or register online here. You will receive an email with hike details and payment link - please note payment is required to secure your place, we will confirm by email. SPOTS ARE LIMITED and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
