This is a French-based charity working in Cambodia, which provides shelter for over 4,000 abandoned children, orphans, street children and children from very poor families and ensures their education.
ASPECA has renovated and enlarged children’s homes throughout Cambodia with the aim of providing shelter for as many children in distress as possible without compromising quality of care.
ASPECA builds houses within the orphanages, offering an environment conducive to the well-being and positive development of its children. Each house has a “Mama san” or housemother. Each child stays with the mama san until they reach maturity, in a stable home where the children can safely grow and develop.
Funds raised helped to build a dormitory for 50 pupils in Phnom Penh. The house consists of a suite of 5 rooms on one floor, which accommodates 10 girls per room. Lavatories and bathrooms were built as well.
